Pretty Lake Vacation Camp

Pretty Lake Vacation Camp has been a signature project of the Junior League of Kalamazoo since the 1930s.

Pretty Lake provides a residential summer camp experience for over 700 children in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades each summer. Campers don’t even need to bring a toothbrush – everything is provided for a week of nature and nurture in the shores and woods of this unique setting.

Our participation with the camp continues to evolve as the needs of the camp evolve. Today, the women of the JLK distribute and rate the camp applications, solicit funding on the long-standing tradition of “Tag Day” and help prepare the camp’s commissary for the summer season.

Additionally, League members staff the camp’s carnivals throughout the summer camp sessions. For more information about Pretty Lake, please visit www.prettylakecamp.org.
